When I go to use it in a programe it says not detected, make sure it is plugged in and switched on. You should be back to the Scanner and Camera Installation Wizard screen just click on finish at the bottom of screen and this will complete the hardware installation for your scanner. And I do get a message that windows has detected and installes the scanner.
